Pooh Corner Day Nursery and Pre-school Statement:
We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and adults at Risk. All our permanent staff, supply staff and volunteers share this commitment. We have a robust recruitment and selection procedure to prevent unsuitable people working with children. All professionals working with us occupy a position of trust. We are highly committed to keeping high staff standards. These procedures are in place to minimise the possibility of children and young people suffering harm.
At Pooh Corner we believe highly skilled Early Years Professionals are paramount to support children to achieve their full potential, explore their creativity and develop holistically.
If you are a passionate professional who is knowledgeable about human development in the first years of life, National Statutory documents and the EYFS, please contact us.
We offer a few pathways:
- Fully qualified professionals to embrace Senior positions in our setting – Early Years Teachers and Early Years Professionals with level 3 or above.
- Professionals from other humanistic areas - e.g. Psychology, Sociology or with university degrees looking for a change in career. We offer work training conversion paths towards EYITT or L3 and above.
- Bank staff - Charismatic individuals able to share our believes and passion for human development. You must be a quick learner, have an inquisitive mind and be a great team player.

Exciting opportunities have become available within our Ofsted Outstanding Nursery and Pre-school OUTSTANDING 2018 and 2023.
The successful candidates must have at least Level 3 Early Year qualification or above and 2 years experience as a Key Person and working as part of a team.
- Full time positions
- Early Years Practitioner / Early Years Teacher for our Baby Provision - The Inquisitives
- Provision Leader Practitioner/Teacher for our Baby Provision The Inquisitives
- Early Years Practitioner/Early Years Teacher for our 2 - 3 year old provision - The Adventures
- Early Years Teacher for our Preschool (QTS or EYITT) - The Explorers
All the above positions professionals work 37 hours per week across 4 days.
- Part time positions
Early Years Practitioner/Early Years Teacher to work in any of our provisions
The successful candidate will be an extra member of our staff on days when some of our children with SEN attend. It will enable our SENCo to dedicate time to support these children.
The successful candidates must have at least Level 3 Early Year qualification or above and 2 years experience as a Key Person and working as part of a team.
Working Hours: Monday, Tuesday and Friday; 8.30am - 5.30pm (fixed term contract)
